Experience
Hello! I have a certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), Translation Studies (Spanish/English) and Medical Interpreting. I majored in Spanish and minored in French in 2008 in California, and have been working with language since. I am currently getting a Master's in Spanish with a focus on Applied Linguistics and translation. Over the past 12 years, I have gained experience teaching English as a Second Language to teens and adults in both large and small class settings, as well as in private lessons online and in-person. I also teach Spanish and French to all ages one on one. I developed curriculum to teach English and Spanish at the workplace to help employees and managers better communicate with each other. I have also developed curriculum for teen/youth programs. For the past four years, I have been teaching ESL to adults in Hawaii (16 and over), including FCE courses, TOEFL, TOEIC and Business English based on BEC, as well as giving private lessons in Spanish and French. I was even able to teach employees of McDonald's English through the Hamburger University program.
