Private tutor in Kailua, HI
Education
Up on my metaphorical office wall are a BS in Physics, BA in Asian Studies, and a minor in Computer Science minor from Lehigh University in 2014, as well as a MS in Nuclear Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016. My research at UW focused on computer models of plasma in fusion reactors (called "tokamaks").
Experience
I've taken (and passed) a course called "Plasma Magnetohydrodynamics". There are very few math or physics courses I have not taken. As for teaching experience, I was a teaching assistant at UW-Madison for 1st and 2nd year Engineering students in Dynamics. I also taught fundamental physics for electricians and mechanics at Honolulu Community College. As evidence of my patience, I have assisted my 90+ year old grandparents through ownership of computers, printers, iPods, and an Amazon Echo.

Hobbies
I am currently a purple belt training with Hawaii Shotokan Karate. I am also an active hiker, boogie boarder, marathon "runner" (i.e. slow jogger), and biker. I'm lucky to have plenty of friends willing to be active with me. When I'm not moving, I play video games or ukulele, learn Hawaiian and Japanese, and read humorous science fiction novels.
